JAMZ Dance Center, located in Pasadena, MD within Longpoint Mall, opened its doors in August 2008. Our mission is to provide superior instruction to all students in a fun and rewarding environment. We have gone above and beyond what today's usual dance studio has to offer. Our use of technology in the classroom is what sets us apart from the average studio. We have implemented state of the art technology that will allow the dancer to experience class on a whole new level. Our instructors are highly qualified and promise to bring the best out of each dancer.

Our instructors have been handpicked to provide you with the best training possible. Our instructors have trained under some of the best choreographers and organizations in the country such as Alvin Ailey, Lines Ballet, Culture Shock DC, and Royal Academy of Dance. It is also common for JAMZ Dance Center to bring in guest instructors who have been seen on TV and the wide screen, such as So You Think You Can Dance™, America’s Best Dance Crew™, and Step Up™ and Step Up 2 : The Streets™. Within each studio you will find state of the art sound and video equipment. We believe learning to dance comes from more than just the act of doing it. Each class may include a short video of your discipline to help you create new ideas and techniques. We also have the ability to record each dancer so that they can see themselves in action. Video taping allows both the teacher and student to identify and correct problems.
